By Oyinkansayo Wole-Bodunde.

The latest Big Brother Naija Season 9 live show was filled with drama as Handi, Shaun, and Tjay were evicted,

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu revealed the fate of the bottom three contestants, who had been nominated earlier in the week. This announcement followed a tense period after Monday’s face-to-face nomination twist.
The nomination twist saw contestants publicly nominate two peers for eviction, deviating from the traditional diary room nominations and increasing in-house tension.

Nine housemates, including Handi Danbaki, Shaun Okojie, and Tunji Adeniji, faced the audience vote. The results showed Shaun securing 8.94% of the votes, Handi 3.99%, and Tjay 1.04%.

After the eviction show, Wanni broke down in tears upon the eviction of her twin sister, Handi and her lover, Shaun.

During Handi’s post-eviction interview with Ebuka, Handi mentioned how difficult it was for her to leave her sister. She said, “It is so hard leaving my sister, the love of my life. I was talking to Biggie today and felt I would leave the house. I was already prepared for the worst. Two more weeks for the housemates. My twin and I are going higher.”

T-jay said that he didn’t expect to go far in the competition. “I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I would get this far. You come in, you want to compete, you give yourself the best chance. There are many strong characters and competitors, but I did well. It was difficult to leave my family for this game. Thankfully, my wife has been supportive. She said, ‘Go in and do your thing; don’t worry, I will take care of the house.’ This is to every woman who stays locked into her husband—you guys are strong and brilliant. Thank you, my wife.”

The 33-year-old doctor also shared his post-BBNaija plans. “I came into the show wanting to express myself and reveal my hidden talents. I plan to go into acting as well as part-time medicine.”

Shaun said he expected to go and it didn’t come as a surprise to him. “I felt it in my guts,” he said.

This evictions created so much tension in the house and everyone is aiming to win the HOH game.
