Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna has made a shocking announcement, publicly distancing herself from her family. The Edo-born reality star revealed her decision to abandon her surname, Otabor, citing a lifetime of emotional struggles and lack of support from her family.
Phyna took to her X handle on the late hours of Thursday, to share her emotional challenges, stating that she’s been facing incredibly tough times lately. She expressed her pain and frustration, revealing that her family has never been supportive, even during her childhood.
“I am publicly dropping my family surname Otabor… It has been proven that I actually have no family and nobody knows how I came about…. I’m still searching for answers though. It’s been rough with me lately…… I’m in a place where I can’t even describe how I feel or what to call what I’m going through rn. Going up and the way I was toss around relative I should suspected but guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!”, she said.
Phyna’s heartfelt announcement has sparked a mix of shock, sympathy, and support from fans and followers.
