Nollywood star Bolanle Ninalowo has opened up about his decision to support his 18-year-old daughter, Aliyah, in getting her navel pierced.
In a recent chat with VJ Adams, Ninalowo shared that Aliyah had initially asked to pierce her tongue, but he had reservations about that particular choice. He said that he told her to go and think of something else and return to him.
He said, “I remember one day my daughter woke me up and said she wanna get a tongue ring and I took a moment to think then I said, ‘yo Aliyah, a tongue ring, I wouldn’t want to kiss a girl with a tongue ring but think about something else,’ and she was like okay, I’ll think about it.”
She decided to get a navel ring and Ninalowo agreed because it was easily removable. He cited that it’s a more reversible decision.
He wanted to use the opportunity to bond with his daughter and demonstrate his support. In fact, Ninalowo took it a step further by driving Aliyah to the piercing appointment and covering the cost of the procedure.
