In a remarkable feat, Wizkid’s newly released album, ‘Morayo’, has dominated Apple Music’s charts, with all tracks claiming the top 17 spots under 10 hours.
This impressive achievement was recorded on the album’s release day, November 22, 2024.
“Morayo” is a tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023. The album’s lead single, “Piece of My Heart”, has also achieved significant chart success, reaching the 4th spot on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and 7th on the World Digital Song Sales chart.
Furthermore, “Morayo” has broken Nigerian streaming records, with one of its singles accumulating 1.57 million streams on Spotify within its first 24 hours.
