OAU Students Arrested for Protesting Against Wike

At Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, two students, Oladepo Joshua and Ejike Kelechi were detained by police for protesting against FCT Minister Nyesom Wike during a campus event.

The students’ arrest sparked widespread outrage among their peers, who quickly mobilized to secure their release. In a show of solidarity, hundreds of students gathered on the Moore Division police station, and demanded the students’ freedom. The police eventually relented and released the detained students.
