Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, celebrated his 50th birthday in grand style on April 12, 2025, in Abuja.
The party, themed “50 for 50,” was a convergence of luxury, faith, music, and impact.
The celebration began with a Holy Communion and Thanksgiving Service, followed by a main party at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel. The event featured live performances, including a heartfelt tribute track by Anyidons titled “Obi Cubana Special (Okpole Nwa Mama)”.
Obi Cubana received numerous gifts, including 50 brand new tricycles from Ituma Chukwuemeka, 50 brand new minibuses from CIG Motors, 2,000 cartons of tomatoes from Sonia Foods, and 50 rams. 50 lucky individuals also received gifts, such as dresses, bags, and wigs.
Samsung Nigeria hosted an exclusive party, “The Night Before 50,” where 50 Samsung S25 smartphones were given out to guests. The tech brand partnered with Cubana to celebrate the milestone birthday.
Cubana and Gold Bar Whiskey launched the “Golden Age with Gold Bar” campaign, inviting artists to design a special birthday logo for a chance to win N2m, a luxury car, and VIP access to celebratory events.
The party featured notable guests, including Kanayo Kanayo, Kennedy Okonkwo, AY Makun, E-Money, and Daddy Freeze.
Obi Cubana marked the occasion with a simple Instagram post, “12.04.25 Happy Birthday, Obi Cubana. 50yrs! 50for50.” His wife, Ebele Iyiegbu, posted a picture of him and wrote, “You are my gift, Dim oma!”
