Taraba Governor Urges Lecturers to Suspend Strike

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has urged lecturers at Taraba State University (TSU) to call off their indefinite strike and return to negotiations.

The lecturers, who are part of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, went on strike over unpaid salaries and benefits.

Governor Kefas appealed to the lecturers to reconsider, emphasizing that dialogue remains the best option in resolving industrial dispute.

He acknowledged the lecturers’ understanding in the past and asked them to be patient, as his administration works to address outstanding agreements and issues.

The governor views lecturers as partners in providing free education in the state. His administration is committed to resolving the issues, and he hopes the lecturers will suspend their strike and return to the negotiation table.
