Tinubu Hosts Fubara, Wike to End Rivers Crisis

There was a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, and it brought together President Bola Tinubu, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

This meeting marked a significant development in efforts to resolve the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.

This meeting was the first public appearance of Governor Fubara with President Tinubu since the president declared a state of emergency in Rivers on March 18. It also included suspending the governor, his deputy, and the state assembly due to their inability to work together.

Pictures released after the meeting showed the president, governor, and minister smiling together. According to sources at the presidency, the meeting brought about reconciliation.
