Toke Makinwa, a Nigerian media personality and actress, has made an admission about her current life stage.
On her podcast, ‘Toke Moments’, she shared her thoughts on independence and marriage.
Makinwa asked her guest, Banke Kuku, “As independent women, do you think that we have glamourised this notion of being independent?” Kuku responded, “Yeah. It’s tough.” Makinwa then revealed her personal perspective, “I won’t lie, Banke. Let me break it down. Forget the cameras. At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to be the second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it.”
Makinwa explained that she craves a man she can rely on occasionally. She stated, “Let me tell you what the biggest thing for me is, I am the boss everywhere and that could be tiring. You feel like you need someone to lean on. Someone that could decide what is for dinner. Must it be me?”
Toke Makinwa was previously married to Maje Ayida from 2014 to 2017. Recently, there were reports of her marrying Farouk Umar, but she denied the claims, saying they were just friends and the event was her Thanksgiving celebration.
