United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has ended its UBA Legacy Promo series, rewarding 100 lucky customers with over N41.8 million in prizes.
The promo started last year and it was created to celebrate UBA’s 75-year legacy and commitment to rewarding loyal customers.
The campaign was open to various account holders, including Bumper, Savings, Kiddies & Teens, and NextGen account holders. Winners received prizes, including educational grants. The Grand Finale draw was held at UBA’s Head Office in Lagos, witnessed by journalists, regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
Ten Savings Account customers won N1 million each, including Olonade Funmilayo, Abdullahi Yunusa and Anibueze Augustine Chidozie. One of the winners, Mr. Oligbo Francis Azuka, expressed his surprise and gratitude, stating, “I am deeply grateful and surprised by this reward from UBA. I honestly, didn’t expect this. I really appreciate the fact that UBA recognizes me. I am very grateful.”
The Bumper Category saw 10 winners receive N1 million each, while 20 customers received N500,000 each. Another 20 customers won N250,000 each and 10 customers received N100,000 each.
In the NextGen category, 10 customers won N180,000 each as pocket money for a year. The Kiddies and Teens category saw 20 young customers receive N200,000 each in educational grants.
Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head, Retail and Digital Banking, emphasized the promo’s significance in strengthening the bank’s relationship with its community. He said, “UBA Legacy Promo is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers who have trusted us over the years. As we celebrate 75 years of impact, we remain committed to deepening financial inclusion and providing innovative and customer-focused products and services. Our goal is to make banking more rewarding and life-changing, improving lives and building stronger communities.”
Over the past six months, UBA has rewarded over 600 customers with prizes totaling more than N200 million, creating over 60 millionaires. UBA has stated its commitment to launching impactful initiatives, prioritizing customer satisfaction and financial well-being.
