Samuel Akinade Badekale, one of the University of Lagos’ top performing graduates for the 2023/2024 academic session, has taken to social media to celebrate his remarkable achievement.
Badekale who is a cell biology and genetics student, achieved a perfect CGPA of 5.00, sharing the top spot with his departmental colleague, Damilare Haroon.
Via his X account, Badekale expressed his gratitude to God for his academic success, saying, ”This is a testament that dreams come true! Cell biology and genetics with perfect CGPA (5.00/5.00) Overall Best Graduating Student 2023/2024 @Unilag Nigeria Numerous awards and record broken. God did it! Proverbs 22:29 #unilag #UNILAG2024Convocation.”
The department of mass communication made history by producing 18 female first class graduates during the same academic session. This achievement was announced during the university’s 55th convocation ceremony, which took place over 3 days.
