Dangote Industries Limited is warning truck operators who are using its logo without permission.
Despite previous warnings, some truckers continue to display the logo for personal gain or other motives, causing serious reputational damage to the company.
These unauthorized vehicles have been linked to incidents wrongly attributed to Dangote.
They said, “We have repeatedly cautioned truckers to refrain from using our logo on unauthorised vehicles. Moving forward, we will increase vigilance and take decisive legal action against misuse of our brand identity, particularly concerning vehicles unaffiliated with the Dangote Group.”
Dangote is also concerned about misinformation targeting the company, especially false claims about being involved in road accidents. The company urges the public and media to fact-check before sharing information and warns against exploiting tragedies for malicious purposes.
To maintain accountability, Dangote collaborates closely with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other regulatory bodies. They said, “We maintain close cooperation with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other regulatory bodies to standardise, monitor, train, and enhance our operational practices. Continuous internal audits enable us to identify gaps, adopt global best practices, and strengthen compliance across our fleet.”
